Welcome to the Utah Board of Officials (UBOO) website. We are the affiliated board for Utah PAVO member volleyball officials. Officials join PAVO through their local affiliated board. There are no fees to join the UBOO.

Message from our Board Chair-

The WAC, WCC, Pac-12, Mountain West, Big West, RMAC, SWAC and the Big Sky announced that they have postponed their volleyball season to spring 2021. Also, NCAA just announced that their DI championships scheduled for December won't be happening.  They had cancelled their DII and DIII championships about a week or so ago.  So, no collegiate play this fall. These are very sad times for the players, the coaches, and for all of you who are so dedicated to our sport. Hopefully, it can all be recouped in the Spring.

Thank you to those who have registered with PAVO/NCAA. I would encourage each of you to do this soon so that you can have access to one of the NCAA clinics while they are available. There are 9 online clinics remaining and they run until the 26th.  Many conferences require NCAA clinic attendance and there are no clinics offered after August 26th so it would behoove you to take care of this business now.  PAVO/NCAA registration also gives you access to the PAVO test, RefSchool, all iRef modules and all rules interpretation and announcements. PAVO has announced that the deadline for the test and iRef modules for NCAA postseason consideration is still September 15 and September 1st respectively. Take some time in the next week or two and take care of this business. Keep in mind that our dues are necessary to keep PAVO functioning.  Although we may not have competition this fall, there will be much admin work to be done to prepare for the spring.  Let's show support for the organization that has supported us for so many years.  

We will have our Utah Board/SWAC clinic/meeting in either December or January in preparation for the spring season. 

The line judge clinic that we were planning for August will also be pushed to the Spring preseason. More info on these events to come.

A huge THANK YOU to Bruce Grant for his many years of service and leadership.  We will gather to celebrate him when it is safe to do so. Hopefully soon!
